We are 25 weeks and 2 days today and chugging right along!
Baby at 25 weeks: Baby is being compared to a cauliflower this week in terms of size (about 9 inches). At our recent doctors appointment we were told that Baby C is developing perfectly and weighs 1lb 13oz! Baby's nostrils are opening and the lungs are continuing to prepare for life on the outside. Baby's vocal cords are also getting ready. Baby's hands are now fully developed, complete with fingernails and the ability to curl it's fingers into a tiny fist (which Baby C uses often). Baby is still VERY active!
24 week appointment: Baby was very busy during our appointment this week and the doctor had to chase Baby around with the Doppler in order to listen to Baby's heartbeat, which is a strong 143-146 beats per minute. We also got the chance to get another glimpse at Baby (check out the adorable, yet sort of creepy, 4D pic below!).
Momma and Papa this week: We have been doing some nesting, decorating Baby's room now that it is painted. We had a great weekend and went to a live Prairie Home Companion show, which was awesome! We had an impromptu date night Sunday, we got the couch to complete our sitting area on the main floor and are very much looking forward to the holiday weekend coming up! We plan to go climbing, spend some time outside with the dogs, watch some fireworks and get ready for a few visits from our friends, Chris and Erin on Monday and then Niki and Tim on Wednesday! We both feel great and are truly enjoying each day during this amazing journey!

24 weeks! 16 weeks to go! Cannot believe how fast time is flying! This week has been more work and less play for us but the baby has been very busy!
Baby at 24 weeks: Baby is about the size of an ear of corn, weighing about 1.5 pounds and measuring over 8.5 inches! Starting this week baby will start to gain weight rapidly at about 6 ounces a week for awhile! Baby's inner ear is now fully developed so baby is beginning to get a sense of whether or not it is upside down or right side up! Baby's tiny face is almost fully formed with a full set of eyelashes, eyebrows and even some hair on the head! Baby Caron has been showing off a lot this week, throwing punches and kicks out all time and will even poke back when poked!
Mama and Papa this week: We have both worked a lot this week but did manage to spend a wonderful weekend together. We cleaned out baby's room and even painted! We have started to gather furniture for baby's room and finally bought a coffee table for our living room. Today starts another potentially long work week but we have our 24 week doctors appointment Friday and a fun weekend in Western Mass planned so stay tuned!

Hello everyone! Sorry we are bit late on posting. We've had a busy couple of weeks! We are now at 23 weeks and 2 days!
Baby at 23 weeks: Baby is about the size of a papaya (measuring around 8 inches from head to toe and weighing a little over a pound)! This week, baby will begin to pack on those fat deposits and by the end of the month, baby will have doubled in weight! Baby has a newfound sense of touch and tastebuds have started to form on the tongue. Baby's lungs are continuing to develop and grow and prepare for breathing! Baby Caron is still VERY active and can be felt and seen moving around all the time now!
Momma and Papa this week: We are doing great! We just got back from an amazing vacation in California. We are happy to be home with the dogs and cat, however, it's always a bit difficult to get back into the work routine. I am mostly on overnight shifts for the next 1.5 months, which can be exhausting, but it means Tyler and I have most weekends together! Enjoy a few photos from our awesome trip below!
