Hello everyone! We are 29 weeks along today! Officially in the THIRD trimester! Only 11(ish) weeks to go!! Time is FLYING! Sorry we are so behind on posts, it's been a very busy few weeks. Hope you enjoy the update!
Baby at 29 weeks: Baby is being compared to either an acorn squash or a small cabbage (crown to rump) this week, measuring about 17 inches and almost 3 pounds! This week is the first time Baby's head is proportionate to the rest of it's body. Over these next 11 weeks, Baby will at least double, if not triple, in weight! Baby's major developments are mostly complete and now its time for finishing touches! Baby continues to be very active but will quickly start to run out of room! Baby is developing a sleep and wake cycle this week so there are more periods of quiet, followed by intense "playtime".
Momma and Papa this week: We have had a busy but great last few weeks. We went to a veterinary convention in Boston a couple weekends ago where we were able to reconnect with some great people we haven't seen in awhile and even learn a little bit ;). I've been on overnights since then and Tyler was recently on call so we've really only been able to spend time together on the weekends. I luckily was able to make a quick trip up to NH to see my beautiful nieces on my day off last week. The weekend after the convention I spent some quality time with my Mom and Nana and then Tyler and I hit the beach TWICE. Tyler finally got to try out the surf board I got him for his birthday last October! We weren't home much last weekend so this weekend we decided to stay put for the most part. We FINALLY finished all of the chicken coop outside area and actually started painting it! We also had our first egg harvest this week! Friday I had a great one on one yoga session and today we built a headboard for our bed and I must say, it is AMAZING! This past Tuesday we had our 28 week doctor appointment (see updated below). We now start going every 2 weeks. Hope you enjoy all the pictures from these last few weeks!

Week 28 Dr. Appt: Baby's heartbeat and my uterus measurement are right on schedule! I took my glucose test (test for gestational diabetes) and PASSED! Thank goodness because that sugary drink was terrible. I have developed a mild anemia, however, and now take an iron supplement along with my other vitamins. We were able to record Baby's heartbeat again this week- have a listen! And like I said above, we will now be making a trip to the doctor every TWO weeks!

Sorry for such a long and busy post! Hopefully we won't go 3 weeks without an update again! Looking forward to the next month ahead as there are SO many exciting things coming up! Stay tuned! XOXO
26 weeks down, 14 to go!
Baby at 26 weeks: Baby is about the size of an eggplant this week, a little over 2lbs and about 9.5 inches in length! Baby's eyes are beginning to open and even though there isn't much to see quite yet, baby will respond to loud noises by blinking and startling now that sight and hearing are developed! Baby's footprints and fingerprints are now formed! Baby C is more active than ever but it does appear that the baby has a nap time schedule and I'm able to predict baby's quietest times of the day...maybe that will continue outside the womb!
Momma and Papa this week: We have had a great week! Tyler escaped getting called in all weekend and we were able to enjoy an awesome 3 day weekend together. We had an impromptu sleepover with our friends, Kelly and Ryan, Thursday night, then went to beach yoga and breakfast with them Friday morning before heading up to the quarries for some climbing! We had a movie date Friday night and saw Terminator. For the 4th of July we decided to lay low and hang out at home, working on the outside area for the chickens and letting the dogs and cat spend time outside. Dad, Kelly and kids came by and cooked us some burgers and then Ty and I snuggled under a blanket to watch some fireworks the next town over. Overall, a great 4th! Yesterday, we finished a large portion of the coop project and just hung around the house. Wish every weekend could be a 3 day weekend together!

Hope everyone has a great week! We've got a busy one ahead with lots of friends coming into town and a veterinary conference/Rossie reunion this weekend! Until next week- XOXO!
