Today marks 17 weeks!!  3 more weeks until we are halfway there.  Time is flying!  Here is the update:

Baby at 17 weeks: The baby is the size of a turnip (some books say onion, weighing in at around 5 ounces and almost 5 inches long)!  Baby's cartilage is turning to bone and the umbilical cord is growing strong.  Baby can move it's joints and it's eyebrows and hair are appearing.  Baby may also be experiencing bouts of hiccups.

16 week Dr. Appointment update: Everything so far so good!   Baby's heartbeat was easily found and is beating at a healthy 150 beats per minute!  Take a listen!!!

Momma and Papa at 17 weeks:  We are both feeling great!  We both worked all week and I worked Saturday, but still had a great weekend! We went climbing, grilled out, FINISHED the chicken coop and ran a road race!  We are so happy to finally have the chicken coop finished and kick the chickens out of the house!  Below are some pics of the coop and the race!

17 weeks "bump" picture:  Taken after the 2.5 mile Carver Coyote Challenge Race at Myles Standish State Forest (pic is actually on our deck with our own forest in the background)

Love to you all and tune in next Sunday for the weekly update!  XOXO
